PRAYER FOR CHASTITY PRAYER CARD

Tradition says that St. Thomas Aquinas received a special grace of purity and chastity after being jailed by his own family in a tower and having an attempted temptation of lust from a prostitute. He drove the women out of the tower and immediately fell down to his knees in prayer of thanksgiving and asked for an increase in chastity. It is said that after this prayerful encounter, angels appeared to St. Thomas, gifting him with a cord that no enemy or temptation could destroy. He was blessed with the grace to endure with purity all this thoughts and actions for the remainder of his life.
This prayer is a daily prayer of the Angelic Warfare Confraternity. As we live in a culture that has to fight for purity and chastity daily, may these words from a great Saint fill us with the grace needed to live a life yoked to Christ.
