Prayer to Know the Mission of a Child Lost to Miscarriage Prayer Card

Each soul knit together in the womb of a mother is a reflection of God's love and endowed with a special mission and purpose that can only be accomplished by him or her. A dear friend spoke this truth to me in the midst of losing my fourth baby to miscarriage. Her words were a balm of comfort to my grieving heart as she shared: "as his mother, you can know his mission in a such a special way."

Inspired by this truth, I wrote this prayer so that all mothers with little children awaiting them in Heaven can seek to know more deeply the unique purpose and mission of these little souls. Whether you  have lost a child to miscarriage, stillbirth or another tragedy, this prayer can allow the Holy Spirit to build a bridge of love from your heart to theirs. Just as St. Therese the Little Flower promised to spend her Heaven accomplishing good on earth, so too can our children in Heaven continue to carry out their missions and intercede for us in the perfect joy of full communion with God.
