PRAYER FOR TAKING CHILDREN TO HOLY MASS PRAYER CARD
"Let the children come to me, and do not prevent them; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Matthew 19:14
I wrote this prayer after taking our three children to a Daily Mass. Our son, who is three and very active, was having a hard time sitting still and remaining quiet during the Mass. We sit in the second pew in our church and the children love to hear how loud their echoes are. During the consecration this one morning, our son would not stop making this silly noise, starting quiet then gradually got louder and louder. I could feel stares from others and got very flustered. The Spirit opened my heart and reminded me that the reason I take our children to Mass by myself isn't for the approval or praise of others. I take our children to know Jesus, learn about Jesus, and encounter Jesus.
This prayer was placed on my heart right after this Mass. I pray that these words fill you with encouragement as you bring your children to Holy Mass. I pray that Jesus' peace enters your heart and body and that you are filled with all the grace you need for your day.
Jesus loves your children. He loves you and delights in you bringing your littles to Holy Mass to praise Him.
