Convert, philosopher, Carmelite sister, and martyr, St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross gives us a beautiful witness to a life abandoned to the will of our Heavenly Father. St. Edith Stein courageously stood by her Jewish brothers and sisters and was sent to Auschwitz. She was martyred in 1942. She wrote to women on the dignity and beauty of our souls. May we seek her intercession for a deepened understanding and confidence in your feminine genius.
