Newly beatified Fulton Sheen reminds us that life is worth living and that despite sufferings and trials, our Lord's love is steady.
When I first read the prayer I chose for his holy card, I said, “whoaaa this man was so holy!” He said, “Lord, send me some trouble, some inconvenience, something that will be very hard for me, and because of it, somebody else will be helped very, very much.” Tears. Amen!
What profound humility and confidence in the Lord's will!! May we all learn from his beautiful witness and surrender to the Lord's provision - which does not withhold (Psalm 84:11) and works all things for our good (Romans 8:28).
Blessed Fulton Sheen, ora pro nobis.
