MONTHLY DEVOTION SACRED ART AND PRAYER CARDS
Art that is good, true, and beautiful, lifts our eyes and hearts to what is above. “Genuine sacred art draws man to adoration, to prayer, and to the love of God, Creator and Savior, the Holy One and Sanctifier” CCC 2502.
I designed this collection of beautiful pieces of art for the monthly devotions and paired each month with a prayer that encourages a love of contemplation while giving the Lord glory and praise in domestic churches. As the Catechism of the Catholic Church says contemplation is where we “abide in the dwelling place of the Lord… and awaken our faith in order to enter into the presence of him who awaits us” CCC 2711. Mommas, raise your hand if this is what you want to teach your littles! (I know we do!!)
I pray this collection of monthly devotion sacred art and prayer cards orient your heart and the hearts of those in your domestic church, toward the Lord. That by placing the art in a shared space (oratory/prayer shelf/bedroom) your gaze is turned toward the Lord. That by reciting a prayer intentionally selected for the monthly devotion, your contemplation deepens and desire for union with the Lord grows.
